Here is a good example....when an airplane leaves the ground with empty seats, the airline loses money, right? So the airlines came up with last minute promotions to sell those empty seats at discounted rates, because less money is better than none at all! The same holds true for radio. Picture airtime like you would those airplane seats. If any of it goes unsold there is no money, so why not sell it at a discounted rate like the airlines?
